Could I use this cable to connect the audio output of a CD player or Mp3 player to a midi in or in/out port
Asked by: Dolly
This is not possible as a midi signal is a different signal type to that of a standard audio out

I am trying to connect a Microphone with a 3.5mm jack to an old tape recorder (circa early 1980''s) which has a female 5 pin DIN socket. Could this cable coupled with an adapter of some kind do the job, or do you have something else suitable? Thanks.

Have a look at order codes L60BA, RW06G and HH05F.

Is the 3.5mm jack plugs stereo, I can only see one insulating band? I need a cable to connect my hi-fi to the line in on my PC so that I can record LPs and I think I need a stereo jack. Can you advise? Thanks
Asked by: Steve Peach
The plugs are mono, with the left channel on one and the right channel on the other. To use with your PC soundcard you will also need a JM91Y adaptor.
