This chain of solar fairy lights is an environmentally friendly product as the lights are powered by the sun's energy through the solar panel. During the day, the solar panel converts sunlight into energy, which is stored in the included rechargeable batteries. A sensor automatically switches the light on at dusk and off at dawn. The lights can be used for a multitude of outdoor and indoor applications including parties, barbeques and even Christmas tree lights.Supplied in a multicoloured chain that also flashes at random.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a sucker for Christmas lights, and I have to say these really are marvelous - you can put them up in the garden, there are no trailing leads, just prop the solar panel somewhere where the sunlight can shine on it and bingo - off you go! I've had mine for a year now. My only criticism is the batteries aren't the best rechargeable batteries around, so I swapped them for the rechargeable batteries in my TV remote - problem solved! I'll be buying some more sets for this Christmas!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recently purchased set, however as battery is unlikely to recharge in the short and not very sunny December days. I replaced the battery with a high power fully charged 2500mAH battery, this has given 4 nights display. When the battery has discharged it is easy to replace with another fully charged battery, which has been charged with a previously purchased Maplin battery charger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought these at the same time as the blue led fairy lights. whereas those faded and stopped working after 6 months, these, after 3 years of continuous use, are still working fine. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as they used to be I bought a set of these lights about 3 years and liked them so much I bought 4 more sets recently. Although they look similar they are engineered differently with less wiring. The new versions do not seem to be as good as the older set. We have had problems with 2 of the 4 sets and the battery life (once charged) is shorter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful clear multi coloured lights Delighted with these solar lights! Beautiful colours, and choice of static or flashing. Doesn't need masses of sun in order to work for at least a few hours, which is good given the amount of dull and rainy weather in this area. Highly recommend.

HI can you cut off a few? I only need about 10 lights to wrap around my topiary tree but can't find anywhere.
Asked by: arlette
We would not advise you to cut any lights off, as this would void the warranty on the product and would also affect the IP rating of the product (i.e. the product may no longer be water resistant)
