Doe the LED cluster need a current limiting resistor to prevent burn out? Please advise http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/52mm-red-led-cluster-pd01b?cmpid=ppc&gclid=COfF7-eK8ssCFdYV0wodAhcA5Q

Confusing responses to questions. One states that if operated on 12v will be brighter but life will shorter but later there is response that limiting resistor is included. Can light be operated off nominal 12v (lets say 12.5v) without additional resistor?

Asked by: John
Yes but the mac forward voltage is 12.5v.
