Product overview

• Send digital TV upstairs or to another room without cables
• 5.8GHz frequency band - limited interference from wireless networks or wireless CCTV
• Typically transmits up to 10m indoors
• Compatible with practically any video source (DVD, TV, satellite, Cable, PC, etc)
• Stable 5.8GHz signal operates through most walls, floors and ceilings
• For use with Freeview, free-to-air, Sky TV boxes and more
• Change channel from another room with the built-in IR remote repeater
• PAL and NTSC compatible
• Easy set up
• Kit includes 1x transmitter and 1x receiver
• 2 x 3.5mm stereo plug (4 pole) to Scart AV cable

Please note: The transmission distance is dependent on the construction of the building you are using it in. In modern 3 bedroom houses with partition (dry) walls typically you will be able to transmit anywhere in the house. However buildings with all brick construction will sometimes see a reduction in the range possible and with stone built houses transmission may only be possible to adjacent rooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this product to send my Sky+ HD box upstairs in my house. After spending an hour or so tearing my hair out and reading forums etc... I finally got it to work - and thought I'd share my experiences here to save anyone else the hassle! Once it was setup - it worked perfectly and picture quality is close to perfect! My problem was that in the Sky Settings menu.. the Scart was set to 'Off' and then the Format was set to PAL. Setting this to 'On' and 'RGB' and ensuring I plugged the Receiver into the correct Scart socket on my TV (the one labled RGB - Ext 2 in my case). Once this was setup - the product worked fine. Hope this helps someone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW I am so pleased with my purchase. I placed my order at 15:30 today whilst at work and used your shuttle delivery service. When I got home at 18:00 you had already delivered the video sender. It took me approximately 20 minutes to set up out of the box and after a little fiddling with the positioning we have fabulous TV from our V box in the living room to the TV in the kitchen. So pleased I found this product before drilling holes in the wall to run slightly cables through the living room and kitchen to our TV sound and picture quality are great! Thank you Maplin fantastic product and the best delivery experience I have ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Since getting my av sender i have run a few simple tests before giving it a proper home and have found it to perform very well, the audio has no hum and although the picture shows very slight static during blue screen mode it gives a very good picture when displaying a channel, i have also found it works very well with the Samsung Sky HD BOX ( Model 1.4.300 ) Version 973006 and the Sky HD Remote also works with its infra red remote extender, so this is a must for anyone wanting cheap sky multi room without wires, i cannot at present confirm if it will work on my older sky plus box but i will update further if it does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect solution so I can cancel my Sky multi room ! Bought online, quick delivery. Easy set up, although the instruction book is a bit rubbish....but just plug transmitter scart lead into your sky box, receiver scart into our other tv and you are sorted. By the way don't forget to look at the scart leads, it has 'transmitter' and 'receiver' printed on each....and if wrong way around it won't work (took me a while to spot it!). I'm a bit unsure why the IR lead has 3 sensors by the looks, are you supposed to stick all three over sky box front ? I've sent a question into the marlin tech team to find out. Ok so the picture isn't perfect, but it's pretty good and will do the job. My signal is going from living room up to bedroom and seems to get through ok. Would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once you have cleared wires from around the sender unit, that can cause interference, remembered not to mix up the transmitter connection from the receiver connection, both scart leads, and have directed the antennaes to face each other directed at the correct height etc., this is brilliant! We change SKY channels from another room. We bought two, one for sending the freeview from the bedroom downstairs, and one for the Sky satellite going into the another room and upstairs, and it is great. No interference from mobiles etc either. Okay, so it is not like HD (that we do not have), but it is fine to watch a football match and even better for most other things. We don't actually feel as if it is sent through the walls, but then others may be more sensitive. There are four channels to select, if neighbours are using the same wave length.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from absolutely terrible, rarely works, doors have to be left open and in the right position, moving the aerial is annoying, its slow to respond if you leave your hand on it, itll interfere so setting it up takes ages, even standing near it messes with it, when someone walks up the stairs itll knock it off till there gone. my house isnt big, the best ive ever gotten the signal is still fuzzing and with really loud static, waste of money and the remote feature needs several button pushes and it still might not work, the three infa-red remote senders all have to be right infront of the sky box or whatever box you have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! having had an older version of these years ago i knew the principle of how they worked and was just what i wanted to be able to enjoy my sky tv in my bedroom. Was able to install myself with help of friend (another female) and they worked first time, no interferance at all (somthing the older style ones had a lot of) would definately recommend. I also used the click and collect option and was still able to use an online discount code and was greeted by friendly staff at the Dundee branch. Fantastic product, price and easy transaction. Thank you MAPLIN

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor Purchased yesterday got home and set up correctly according to the manual which may I add is also very confusing and at a cost of £60 I was expecting a lot more the picture quality is terrible we live in a 2 bed bungalow the signal is being passed through one interior stud wall at a distance of about 4m and struggles to get a picture atal let alone one that's watchable. I moved the TV's and senders close to one another to make sure the product wasn't faulty and at a distance of about 1m it's perfect but anything over it doesn't work! If your trying to get sky picture in another room just run a coax cable and don't waste your money on this garbage!

Is there a version of this that works from hdmi out or optical out rather than scart?  Looking to transmit from a sky q box.  Thanks in advance.

Will the Nikkai 5.8GHz mini video sender transmit to a receiver which is BELOW where the transmitter is located? Will the AEI video sender do the same?

Hello  Do you connect to the tv with the scart lead or sky box as my sky box only has one scart connection which is already used. Thankyou

Asked by: Drew
You would need to connect this to output of the source item, so if you are trying to transmit the Sky signal, then you would need to connect to the Sky box at the transmitter side, with the receiver plugged into the input on the destination TV.

Hello, Does the sender plug in to the SCART connector on my existing freesat box ? And correspondingly the receiver plug into the SCART connector on the back of my TV ? If I want to change channels do I point my Freesat remote at the receiver ? Thanks.

These connect via SCART, not HDMI. so, unfortunately, the Virgin Media Tivo box will not work.
