Rated 1 out of 5 by from 20 Watt ?? - I don't think so! I ordered this adaptor as it is advertised as rated at 20W. In my view, 20W at 5V should give an output current of approximately 4A. Yet when checking the box, I discovered that it is rated at 2.2A which to me rates it at 11W. Far from the advertised 20 W. Not impressed. Going to be returning it asap.

Hi would this be suitable to power a weather station colour monitor model N23DQ power DC 5V 1A frequency 433MHz. It’s a maplin weather station.

Asked by: Nicky72
Whilst the power supply is the correct specification you need to take great care with the selection and orientation of the polarity of the power tip. Check the screen or the old power supply for a tip polarity diagram and ensure you set the new unit to the correct polarity. Failure to do so will destroy the weather station monitor.

Would this be appropriate to replace an old scsi zip 250 drive psu? Says 5v, 1.0A (also shows a straight horizontal line with a dashed horizontal line below it - does that mean AC?)

Is the description or specification wrong? I ask as the product says 20W (which is 4A at 5V) but the spec says that it is only able to supply 2.25A (or 11.25W). Can you advise which is correct.

Asked by: smartroad
This is a maximum of 20w @ the higher voltages, as the lower voltages the watts will be lower.
