About this product

Product overview

• Telescopic aerial suitable for portable and DAB radios• F-connector base• Frequency range: 170-240 MHz, 1.4-1.5 GHz• Enhanced signal reception: swivel and rotate design for better performance • Aerial extends from 85mm to 320mm• Aerial can rotate through 180 degrees

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This aerial is useless as a direct replacement for the wire aerial fitted to my Pure Chronos2 DAB radio - aerial is too short when fully extended. However, when used to supplement the wire aerial it significantly improved reception.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought this to fit to a Panasonic micro hi-fi to replace the supplied wire aerial. Wish I hadn't bothered - waste of time and fuel going to the store to collect. Gone back to the wire aerial until I can find something better that works. Not even worth the fuel to go back and return it - just put down to experience. No problem with the Maplin service, just the quality of the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor Could find the stations but the quality was poor and frequent silent cutouts. Avoid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me Bought two of these to use with my 2 Denton integrated units (amp, DAB, FM, CD player) and both work just fine. Perhaps I'm just lucky geographically!

I have an ELAN DAB EL-10 digital radio and need a replacement aerial, will this fit? if not what do i need? regards

Asked by: bribeck
It would depend on the fitting used on your radio. If the EL-10 uses an F-Type aerial fitting then this will work fine. If you are unsure of the fitting type used on your radio we recommend contacting the manufacturer for the specifications.

Would this be a suitable replacement for the ariel on the Goodmans Go?

Asked by: Sami
As this uses an F-Type fitting for standard installation, which the Goodmans Go does not, we cannot guarantee compatibility.

I bought this A47JL today and it fits my radio fine. However the aerial rotate is very loose--HOW DO I TIGHTEN THE ROTATE plse...until that has been achieved the aerial does not stand erect .

Asked by: doubleug
The rotation is tightened through the main F-Plug screw thread, the tighter aerial is screwed on to the fitting, the less the aerial will rotate on that plane.
