Overview

Product overview

A standard 1/4in. (6.35mm) moulded stereo jack socket with 3 break contacts. Bezel is domed and chromed and contacts are nickel silver. Mounting hole: 11mm diameter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from When I bought 3 1/4 inch jacks/sockets recently, I was particularly impressed with code BW79L for the wide range of wiring possibilities it offers. Can I offer the opinion that the 11mm you describe as the fixing hole is misleading. True there is an extending barrel of that diameter at the front, but it can only be thus mounted to panels thicker than the length of this extension-around 3mm.Mine like many is 2mm, which, after I cut the 11mm hole, required an extra 1 mm washer. The fixing hole size is better described as the diameter of the part that screws into it, ( just over 8mm ), which suits the thinnest panels

On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.

what is the pin out for this plug? the above link does no longer work!
Asked by: stempy
Furthest from the entry hole would be the Tip connection, the middle would be the ring connection, and the one closest to the entry would be the sleave connection.
