Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've bought several of these to run analogue and digital synthesisers that came without power supplies and the range of voltages and tips mean that I can switch around to get what I need all in one box Decent enough price, good connectors and small size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low cost, and low quality - extremely noisy (electrically) - severe interference when i used it for a cordless phone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin We bought this transformer as a replacement for a damaged candle bridge adaptor, as we couldn't find an original replacement. With some minor adjustments on the connector done by our qualified electrician, my wife is pleased to see her "antique" candle bridge glowing on the mantle piece! Merry Christmas

Hi. Would this6W Multi Voltage AC/DC Power Supply suit a Sony D-12 Discman that has a 9V DC input (internally uses 4x1.5 batteries). I can't find a user manual anywhere. Thanks

Asked by: Johnson
Sorry but we are unable to confirm suitability for individual products. The technical characteristics for this device are available on the listing. I've copied them below to help advise The output voltage can be set to any of the following the amperage is decreed by the chosen voltage. Output Voltage: DC 3,4.5,5,6,9,12 V Output Current (1): 0.5 A at 12 V Output Current (2): 0.65 A at 9 V Output Current (3): 1 A at 6 V Output Current (4): 1.2 A at 3,4.5 and 5 V Output Power (Max): 6 W Polarity: Centre Positive Reversible Polarity: Yes Number of Tips or Sockets: 8 Output Tips/Socket Type: 2.35 x 0.7 x 10.5 mm 5.0 x 2.1 x 12 mm 3.5 x 1.4 x 10 mm 5.5 x 2.1 x 12 mm 4.0 x 1.7 x 9.5 mm 5.5 x 2.5 x 12 mm 4.75 x 1.7 x 9.5 mm 6.3 x 3.0 x 14 mm If you set the voltage required for your device and the amperage is sufficient to power your device and you use the correct tip with the correct polarity (polarity is the most important, get it wrong and you will kill your Discman) then it should be suitable for use.
