Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a standard K-type thermocouple and should work with any meter or other device that can read it. I'm using mine with a MAX31855 amplifier chip that is connected to an Ardunio -- I clipped off the plug and connected the bare wires to the chip. Although the description states that it is rated between 0-800??C, be aware that only the probe itself is rated to that temperature: the plastic "grip" on the probe will melt at lower temperatures. I would give this thermocouple 5 stars if it was clearly stated that only the probe is rated to 800??C. This thermocouple is a "grounded" type: the thermocouple junction is electrically connected to the metal probe. Be aware of the electric connections of things you are probing as this can cause issues: the MAX31855 is one of several thermocouple amplifiers that will not function if the thermocouple junction is electrically earthed or has a voltage applied to it. Also, it's worth noting that K-type thermocouples can operate over a wide range of temperatures (typically down to -200??C). This thermocouple should be no exception.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this as a "dairy" thermometer for monitoring the temperature of milk during yoghurt-making. It is early days, but the item seems to work accurately, and is suitable for immersing in liquid. I have noticed that the plug has to be pushed in firmly, and also that it is best to immerse most of the probe in the liquid, in order to get a fast response which is also stable.

The instruction manual for that multi-tester states that is compatible with TEMPERATURE (K TYPE PROBE) this thermocouple is a K-type so should be fine
