Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expanded RAM for MacPro MacPro was getting slow and was advised this was due to having a lot of software running at once, which meant time wasted swapping info between RAM and hard disk. Bought new 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory to replace old 4GB ones. Result - speed up to old fast response even when running PC simulation.

hi i have a lenovo t510 with 2 ram slots with 2x2gb chips in, want to upgrade to 8gb, can i use this to do the job or do i have to buy 2x4gb chips

Asked by: Dave
Unfortunately this would not be suitable. the only way to get 8GB of ram on your laptop is by using 1333MHzDDR4 (4GB 1333MHz x2)

will this be compatible with my Toshiba Satellite laptop

Asked by: aeronut
It would depend on the specific model of Satellite you have as the memory specifications can change between models. If your laptop supports 8GB of DDR3 type memory and supports the 1600MHz speed (PC3-12800) then this would work fine.

I want to buy additional ram for Lenovo thinkpad sl510. Shipped with 1x2gb. What compatible ram can you supply?

Asked by: Fred
This would be compatible however the laptop only supports a maximum of 8GB of RAM. This item is the same however less capacity so should be better for your needs:

Asked by: sam duncan
Unfortunately after looking up specification for that laptop it looks like memory cannot be expanded
