Do these have a built-in resistor? If not what is the forward voltage?

It does not specify the normal current for the led so that you can calculate the resistor to operate on 12V

Hi. I wish to connect one of these to my car's cooling fan (so it lights up on my dash when the fan is running). The fan runs off standard 12v, but the fuse on that circuit is 30A (with suitably thick cable). Can I just wire this LCD straight to the fan's live feed? Do I also need thick cable, or will 5Amp cable suffice. Thanks. Chet
Asked by: Chet
This would need cable rated to the supply of the fan.
