Product overview

• UHF suitable for analogue and digital terrestrial TV VHF suitable for FM and digital radio (DAB)• Automatic line-power for masthead amplifiers• Professional ‘F’ connectors throughout

This is an ultra-wide band FM/UHF distribution amplifier for small domestic systems. It features high gain, exceptional output capability and separate FM/UHF aerial input sockets. These inputs are combined and distributed to all 8 outputs. Where any of these outlets are intended for a TV and radio, it is recommended that you use a diplexing outlet. It also has an extra HIGH output intended for distribution to a number of additional outlets using splitters and taps. The amplifier also features an automatic line-power facility which will deliver 12Vdc to the UHF input when it detects the presence of a masthead amplifier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My review is written 3 years + of purchase. After originally installing multiple TV's to different rooms the signal without this device was "pants" hence the purchase. Worried about purchasing one of the more costly options but once this device was fitted & cables ran through (have to get the sockets & fit to cables which can be fiddly if done for first time) all TV's have never faulted in reception of signal & picture quality. Glad after all this time spent a few more pounds. Reason for review now, returning to help others with whats best to buy as they are faced with the problems i first had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up. plug in all aerial leads and plug into mains supply. This unit uses "F" connectors (Not Supplied, so will will need them) Very Good Signal, and Strength showing on TV. Running 4 tvs and a tv tuner in a pc. All have crisp clear sound and picture. The Full Power outlet is for additional outlets. If you dont need this then it should be terminated with 75 Ohm terminator (This is supplied).

I have one of these fitted to my system. We have a weak signal warning and intermittent connectivity in both TV's. Does the unit require replacing or will it be an ariel fault, other system fault or out of my control.

Asked by: Steve 272
This would seem like the signal has deteriorated, either a stronger booster or a new aerial would be the most obvious fixes, but it may be worth consulting a TV Aerial company to have the system checked.

What is the FULL output for.  I want to boost the TV aerial and split to 6 TVs - but do I need to always connect one output to FULL and if so does it matter which one ?

The SLx8 has built-in full line powering which can be used to provide power to masthead amplifi ers. When connected to a masthead

I bought one of these because I have 8 TV sockets to connect to a terrestial loft aerial. But the picture is much worse with the aerial than without - looks over-amplified (ghost channels, lines across picture). What''s the problem? Should I have an 8-way RF splitter instead?

Have you terminated the 'Full' output with the 75ohm terminator connector if you are not using it?

Would this work on a 12v supply as it will be going on a narrow boat to connect 3 aerials to it thus having only one external aerial on the roof and therefore only one hole to be drilled instead of 3. Thanks. Keith

Unfortunately not this is powerd by a 13A mains plug.
