Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Useful Adaptor Not only does this adaptor have multiple connectors to get the best fit for your device, it also has the ability to reverse polarity the DC jack. Very useful in this case as the device I needed to power up had external +ve instead of the more standard internal ring +ve, simply rotate the connector on the end by 180 degress and job done.

Will this charger be ok for input voltage DC 9V AC 2.5A ? Thanks.

Asked by: RHL1
No. The output from this isn’t powerful enough, and is DC, not AC.

need charger for input 100 - 240 V 50/60 Hz 0.32 A Ouput 9 V 250mA thanks

This power pack is capable of powering 9v devices up tp 2250 ma so will be fine for the usage you suggest as it will supply the correct current your device needs. WARNING! - This is a DC power supply. If you are connecting to a DC device then it is IMPERATIVE that you align the tip to deliver the correct POLARITY that your device requires. (typically this is know as positive or negative tip, there should be a diagram on your device or on the old power supply to tell you which of the two it is) IF YOU CONNECT WITH INCORRECT POLARITY YOU WILL DESTROY YOUR EQUIPMENT

Can I charge  an 8.4V Max charge voltage 2600Ah nominal capacity Li-ion Rechargeable (2S1P 18650) battery set with this? If not can you recommend on that will?

Asked by: Tony
You would need a battery charger designed for that particular type of battery. Suitability of this power supply would depend on the input voltage that charger required. At this time, Maplin do not sell a charger suitable for that battery type.
