What is the Quad Alphanumeric Display (orange)
Adafruit’s Quad Alphanurmeric Display offers a simple solution to the complex problem of handling a range of LEDs individually and allows you to quickly and easily display symbols, numbers and text across four 7-segment displays. Usually you would have a vast multitude of cables interconnecting each of the 7-segment displays, but the supplied backpack enables you to connect with your microcontroller with only 5 pins.
The LEDs powering the alphanumeric displays are a very clear and bright orange, with this the display is visible for up to 7 meters away.
You can dim the LED panels through 16 different brightness levels.

Get the most out of your project
The header pins allow for quick and easy attachment to a breadboard allowing for all your prototyping and testing needs without messy wires. The header pins do not come attached, enabling you to attach wires instead; this is great for more permanent application.

This is connected to your project using the I2C connectors: SCL and SDA pins on your microcontroller.
You can stack multiple of these together while only using the I2C Connection; up to eight backpacks at any one time.

I would like to use this product with a pic micro . Is there a full schematics and data sheet so I can interface it to different micro controller .
