What can I do with this amp?
With this stereo 20W amplifier you can quickly and easily boost the volume of any of your projects, perfect for sounds, synth, and music. This is a dual function amplifier in terms of it can be utilised over I2C or it can be a standalone analogue amplifier by simply jumping two connections, detailed on the rear, and below.

Great performance with volume to match
Class D amplifiers generate a lot less, meaning a lot more energy is saved and utilised properly, providing up to 93 per cent power efficiency. Variable 1.8W up to 22W.

How to pick the right speaker
You need to ensure the wattage of the speakers is greater than that of the wattage being fed through. This amp is designed mostly for 4? and 8? speakers, higher ohm speakers may be used but will generate a large amount of heat.

Hi, Will this drive 3ohm speakers, and if it will, what wattage will it drive them at please?

The speaker capability and compatibility are printed on the back of the circuit board and can be viewed by zooming the provided image. I have copied them below also for your convenience Power Per Channel 1.8 W @ 5v - 8 Ohms 10 W @ 12v - 8 Ohms 13 W @ 14v - 8 Ohms 3.5 W @ 5v - 4 Ohms 17 W @ 12v - 4 Ohms 22 W @ 15v - 4 Ohms The board is not compatible with 3 ohm speakers.

Can I use Duracell 4.5V instead of that recommended power supply? I want to have that for traveling.

The datasheet for this product state's that it can take up to 16V input voltageCan you confirm this is correct?  This is with a view to using it in a vehicle, where the maximum nominal voltage would be approximately 14.4V.
