Search for hidden treasure with the Advanced Metal Detector and find metal objects from the size of a two-pence piece buried at a depth of up to 16cm. There are four modes of detection, allowing you to pick up on certain metals whilst excluding others. The functions are all controlled by three buttons found under the LCD display. Adjust the length of the shaft from 1m to 1.2m to best suit you. The comfortable arm grip makes it easier to hold for long periods. There's a generous 32mm × 64mm LCD display and an audible alert when you’ve found something, meaning you can’t miss it.
What other features does the metal detector have?
Many treasures have been lost over the years, the Advanced Metal Detector has a 20cm waterproof coil so you can keep on detecting, even in bogs and marshes. The detector has an audible beep, but if you don't want to disturb those around you, or there are multiple detectors in an area and you can't distinguish which is yours, the detector has a 3.5mm auxiliary jack that you can use to plug standard headphones in.
What are the field accessories?
The metal detector also comes with a carry bag to help you carry it to your site of interest. When you’ve found something the soil sifter allows you to go through the soil quickly without potentially missing anything.
How do I know what I’ve found?
The metal detector divides metals into three groups detectable by selecting one of three modes: ‘silver’, which detects highly conductive metals like silver, aluminium and copper, ‘mid-ranged’ mode detects medium-conductivity metals such as nickel, gold rings and pull tabs, and ‘iron’ mode detects low-conductivity metals like iron and most other ferrous metals. The fourth mode is called ‘all metals’ and detects all metal types. You can see the metal type, and the depth sensitivity on the LCD display.
It may be illegal to use a metal detector in some countries or states, so please check with your local government department before using this device.
