Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sky seems to have shut down the RF output from my HD box, as it no longer works. So this seemed a good option. Fairly easy to set up. Just a problem locating everything especially as I have heavy HQ HDMI cables from Sky to my TV. Worked first time but a bit unsteady. Relocated receiver higher up and all OK. Test display is different from the manual but can be understood. Main point is that output picture is SD regardless of input. Picture also seems to have been trimmed compared to original. But HD units are all at least twice the price. Tricky part was finding out where to put the IR eye as there is no obvious spot on the Sky box. May revert to using the Sky link as the IR is not a pretty thing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I purchased this as it was the best they had in store and it was claimed it would work up to typical 40m through walls... It was easy to setup however I found that despite being only about 5-6m from source through a standard floor (from living room to bedroom directly above) it dropped frames, degraded the picture noticably and the audio was badly out of sync with the picture... Maplin customer service was very good, they refunded it with no problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The kit passes audio and video but not the IR remote signal (even with an hour or so of fiddling). The transmitter and receiver are only about 2 meters apart with only a glass door separating them but the picture quality is very poor (it looks worse than a SD freeview picture). On the other hand, it was easy to set up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product Limitations Having bought, and soon to return, one of these units I thought I'd write a quick note to let others know that unit does not transmit a HD resolution signal. It will accept and passthrough a HD resolution, but the wireless signal is downscaled to 576p before being transmitted. I have check with AEI and this is by design. I'll give it two stars because the downscaled picture is really sharp and clear, but was disappointed to discovered it will not transmit in HD.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have this connecting my Sky Box to my projector in a large living room after my HDMI cable was damaged... line of sight, no walls...nothing. Speech is delayed. There is frame jitter The quality is very poor. Bad product - I do not recommend. I did have a cheaper Nikkai 1080p 5ghz sender before at it was far superior. I have just ordered one of those again and will be sending this tat back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A very poor piece of equipment I have been researching wireless video senders for some time and thought I would give this one a go. Unfortunately for me the picture was extremely blurry and the sound was delayed. The transmitter and receiver were only meters apart from one another and it still did not work. Overall the equipment feels cheap and nasty, and I would not recommend this if your looking to watch satellite television in your bedroom. The quality is simply not good enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Using to transmit SkyHD around 15M from living room to kitchen through a couple of plasterboard walls and it's dropping frames, not quite as good as I was hoping for. The HDMI passthrough only works when the transmitter is switched on so not very green. Easy to set up and smaller and neater than older Scart models.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shame about picture quality Bought this based on the reviews to try and get SKY in my bedroom 9 feet directly above the living room. The kit is superb, great look, easy to setup, nice neat and sleek however..... I've spent the last 2 days moving both the transmitter and receiver to try and improve the picture quality being received on the upstairs HD TV. I suffered from pixelation and ghosting unfortunately making it almost impossible to watch sport, other channels were not to bad and to be fair I didn't suffer any lip sink issues as others have mentioned. I can only think that my new build property has something in the floor causing interference with the signal Maplin store were excellent and took it back without any hassle It's worth a try if your looking to send a signal to another room wirelessly but beware you may get issues I've reverted to an HDMI extender, splitter and running cat 5e cable up the wall and into the other room - a lot more work but slightly cheaper, only due to getting so ket faceplates etc Give it a go might work for you
