About this product

Product overview

• 1W chip on board (COB) LED that produces 120 lumens of light
• Single LED on top of the light, which gives 60 lumens of light to use as a torch
• Includes a magnet on the back to attach to metallic surfaces like car bonnets
• Pocket clip allows you to keep your torch to hand at all times
• Powered by 3 x AAA batteries (included)

What is a COB LED?
Chip on board (COB) LEDs use chips with multiple diodes, which enables a much denser LED array of light. This gives off a more consistent and controlled light beam and offers great optics. COBs also offer an improved lumen per watt ration, increase efficiency and lengthen the overall life of the lamp.

How bright is this light?
This light produces 120 lumens of light which equates to approximately eight watts. This gives you enough light to be able to work by when under the bonnet of a car, or in a workshop when you need light in a specific area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good A solid performer so far, the switch feels like it's going to last a while (fingers crossed), it's the inspection lamp that I bought it for, lights up a big area for it's size and looks like it's one big l.e.d . The magnet in the base is more than strong enough. The torch is ok.

I've just watched the video re battery compartment sliding off .... Mine won't budge. Ive tried as hard as I'm able to slide the thing but it just refuses to give. Any ideas .... Apart from damaging it to gain access?

Hi I just bought an AMTECH WORKIGHT for £4.99 ish at Bournmouth Maplin on B card Please how do I change the batteries? I expected to see a joint that I could screw open but it all looks very secure.?????? Brian Darnton Swanage

There should be a small triangle molded into the handle beneath the CE and disposal marks. Slide the handle in the direction of the arrow and it should separate, opening the battery compartment. Am-Tech have also been asked this question and have produced a video answer, view-able from the following link;
