If you’re looking to have any remote controlled or automated project the only way to start is with the Arduino Robot. Prebuilt into the Arduino Robot are all the necessary components to enable a seamless motorised automated experience.

With two large wheels and balance ball casters in place provided, get your projects off the start line. Whether you want to make a race car with style, or a robot to pick things up for you, the Arduino robot provides the best base to work from.

Connections and Expansion
The Arduino Robot provides many available, pre-soldered TinkerKit connectors, to be used as digital I/O, some providing PWM as well as providing some analogue inputs also. All connectors are pre-soldered on so you never have to worry about having to re-solder, or having cold solder joints. You can view the range of TinkerKit connectors Here.

The USB connector is for updating purposes only, it will disable motors for safety purposes, the main power source will be coming from the x4 AA Batteries, Do not use non-rechargeable batteries with the robot.

What will you make?
With the ever expanding range of tutorial guides available, you can start by telling a single LED to flash, or control a stepper motor’s speed and direction. Using coding languages called C/C++, these skills easily translate to most general software languages, and so with this you’ll be learning a lot more than electronics.

From a Race car to Vacuum, or a covert Spy-bot, with the prefixed wheels and IR sensors coupled with many TinkerKit connectors, the world of motorised robotics is in your hands

Ease of Use
TinkerKits are "Ready to Go" components, avoiding the need to use breadboards, breakout boards or soldering to connect them, so all you have to do is snap them in, and set up the relevant code so the Arduino Robot knows what’s plugged in and how to control them. You can view a range of the TinkerKit components for the Arduino Robot.

Using the Arduino IDE Software, it will allow you to very easily update your Arduino board with the code you’ve prepared, making the transfer seamless, it will even let you know whether your code makes sense and will work before you even upload it.

Examples
Start by;
telling your Arduino Robot how to turn and spin,
from there you can go on to make it follow a line you’ve drawn,
or even use your television remote to control your robot,
or perhaps if your hosting a party, you can set up your own DiscoBot.
