What is the Arduino Wireless SD Shield?
The Arduino Wireless SD Shield enables quick connection of compatible transceivers like the Xbee, XbeePro, Zigbee, and any others which utilise the same pin footprint. Adding wireless connectivity enables your Arduino to control and interact with other devices without the need for wires across the room.

This shield also has a Micro SD card socket enabling file storage and hosting, which is great if you’re looking to host your own mini server or keeping your files with you wherever you go.

As a shield, this enables you to attach it to most Arduino related development boards that have the same pin layout. Connect to development boards without the need of jump leads or soldering, maximising the amount of space you have to work with while maintaining a tidy finish.

This shield is a middle layer shield, as it uses stacking pins so you can add further breakout. Some shields may fit without header extensions, just be cautious of connected transceiver modules

How can I get the most out of my project?
This shield is developed for the use of Xbee, XbeePro, Zigbee, and other transceivers that use the same footprint.

It can be used as a serial/USB replacement or you can put it into a command mode and configure it for a variety of broadcast and mesh networking options.

Modules used with this can reach up to 100ft/30m indoors, or 300ft/90m outdoors (line of sight dependant).
