What can I expect from this graphics card?
An internal graphics card for desktop computers using a PCI Express 2.1 x16 connection, suitable as an upgrade from basic on-board graphics to a dedicated graphics card. Useful for everyday tasks such as web browsing, word processing or displaying media, this HD 5450 from ASUS would be well suited to an office computer or for use in a media centre PC.

What performance will I get from this graphics card?
The HD 5450 provides your system with 1GB of GDDR3 memory running at 900MHz. This will allow you to watch media in 1080p resolution as well as run some 3D intensive games on medium to low quality. Direct X 11 support provides your GPU with a boost, this enables a smoother image with more detail when playing games.

What can I connect to this graphics card?
DVI, HDMI and VGA connections allow you to attach up to two monitors to this graphics card so you can use an extended desktop for office applications. This will provide you with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 when used with a DVI connection.

How much space does this graphics card require?
The small nature of this card with its passive heatsink will allow this card to be used in cases where little room is available. The absence of a fan reduces noise, making for a quiet experience when this card is in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got this card for a media centre And it is worth the money i paid but i got stormrise with it ,runs blu-ray no problem & the htpc runs very smooth . I already have htpc with as a hd4650,this seems to be just as good but is a little better when it comes to game play .None are that good for game but you can play on low setting the 5450 as directx 11 and the 4650 is direct 10 ?. i'd say this card is newer & a little better all rounder for htpc use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price Used this in a Win7 machine. It is fine for most tasks other than extreme gaming and we have had no problems with it. Graphics are very stable, we have it attached to a 1600x1200 resolution monitor. It is silent too (important if you have a desktop machine) as it has no fan attached. An excellent card for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Step up From on Board Graphics Card Wasn't expecting much from this as I've put it in a 2nd hand computer about 8 years old and through a VGA monitor just as old. As I'm using an old VGA monitor the improvement in graphics quality isn't that much, but where it has made a great improvement is on game sites. Before, games would play so slow that I would have to give up, but know they run smoothly with no problem. If like me your PCI Ex slots are close together and you have the others in use the gap between this and the next one is very tight and you wouldn't fit a card with a deeper fan/heatsink. I would recommend taking the next card out to make fitting this easier, and then putting it back in. Overall, as I said in the title, it's a great step up from the on board graphics card for the price and if you have an HDMI monitor I'm sure you will get better results than I'm having.
