Is this the right graphics card for me?
If your on-board graphics doesn’t satisfy your gaming needs then this graphics card would be a great option for you. It is plugged into the PCI Express (PCIe) x16 slot on your motherboard and has been designed off NVIDIA’s GeForce® GTX™ 950 chipset. The card’s graphics processing unit (GPU) runs at a speed of 1026MHz and, with the built-in 2GB of GDDR5 video memory (which runs at 6610MHz speeds), you are able to play many games at a high texture setting on a 1080p display. ASUS’s DirectCU II technology and two 0dB wing-blade designed fans help to keep the card cool, and the fans turn off when it isn’t near its set temperature for silent gaming. These features and more make this graphics card excellent if you are just getting into gaming.

How well does this card perform?
This card’s graphics processing unit (GPU) has a base clock speed of 1026MHz, which can be boosted in an instance to up to 1190MHz. The card is able to do this thanks to NVIDIA’s GPU Boost™ 2.0 technology. As long as the temperature of the card stays lower than pre-determined levels, the performance is pushed, so you get the best possible frame rates (smoothest gameplay) possible for any game. Built-in 2GB of GDDR5 video memory that runs at 6610MHz lets you play a majority of games at high settings on a 1080p or lower resolution monitor. Adding another ASUS® STRIX GTX 950 can improve the performance even further, through the use of two-way SLI® technology – which uses both cards simultaneously.

How can I connect my monitor to this graphics card?
DisplayPort, DVI-I, DVI-D and HDMI are the connections that are available on this graphics card, enabling you to connect a range of displays to it. Watching videos in 4K resolution is possible thanks to the maximum resolution being 4096 x 2160 pixels. To improve productivity you may want to have more than one monitor, and now you can with this graphics card able to link up to four monitors.

Another exciting feature is NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ which, when used with a compatible monitor, outputs scenes instantly by synchronising the monitor’s refresh rate with this graphics card. This minimises display shutter and input lag, giving you smooth gameplay and a competitive advantage.

How well can I overclock this graphics card?
This card is designed with ASUS’s DirectCU II cooling technology and patented wing-blade 0dB fans, which helps you obtain maximum air flow. This leads to 20% cooler temperatures and quieter performance compared to the reference card. The fans also don’t spin until temperatures reach a certain level, so you get a near silent gaming experience until you really push your graphics card with high intensity games. Two 8mm flattened copper heat pipes are in direct contact with the GPU, so heat is dissipated more efficiently. Manufactured using auto-extreme technology (a 100% automated production process) and Super Alloy Power II components, you are provided with a card that has improved performance and longevity.

Supplied with this graphics card is GPU Tweak II, and its intuitive user interface makes adjustments to your card (overclocking) easier. You can modify clock speeds, voltages, fan performance and more. Since overclocking can be an intimidating task, the program has a one click Gaming Booster function – which maximises performance by removing redundant processes and allocating all available resources automatically. The process of pushing your card to the limit can be influenced heavily by the temperature, so the cooling technology used will go a long way in enhancing the overall potential performance. The program’s integration with XSplit Gamecaster means you can easily stream or record your gameplay through an in-game overlay.

I have 3 monitors each with HDMI inputs and other inputs including DVI, ETC. Can I just plug the 3 monitors into the card? Or would I have to buy some kind of adapter to add on to this card work the 3 monitors? Thanks.

Asked by: Vince
This graphics card would support 3 monitors yes but you would need adapters as this only has 1 HDMI output on it.

Compatible with HP Presario CQ5115uk computer 2009.

Asked by: Bobby4
This would not be compatible with the power supply included in that system and there is a possibility it would not fit the case either.
