Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'm using this to swap between a Mac and a PC. I actually have a mouse and PC keyboard plugged in to the KVM, but I also have to plug in the Mac keyboard separately (so I essentially have two keyboards plugged into the Mac) as getting the double Scroll-lock control to work on a keyboard with no Scroll Lock (as the Mac keyboard doesn't have one), was beyond me... There is a documented method to swap the Scroll lock key mapping for a different key, but I couldn't get it to bend to my will. So, cheap, and functional, but expect a bit of a headache if you plan to use a Mac keyboard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really like these KVM switches and have already purchased about ten of these to replace other KVMs (from office depot), they last a long time ~ no breakdowns so far. unfortunately this KVM has arrived faulty and gives a screen flicker through one of the ports. Do not know what to do i.e. posting it back or taking it to local store aspaid for it by council dept. as others OK I will give some stars Moderator note: Our customer care team who can be contacted via 0844 557 6000 will be able to to assist with the replacement of the item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a terrific unit. I have used KVMФЗЦs for years and had to change from a PS/2 device to a USB device some years ago as my Lenovo laptop docking station would not play ball with a PS/2 splitter. I was using a Sitecom USB KVM but it was manually switched and the USB ports had little power despite a power supply being fitted. It eventually started to drop the Logitech wireless mouse & keyboard receiver so it was time for a change. This unit handles the wireless keyboard & mouse effortlessly on both the docking station and my standard PC, but it uses the scroll lock key to switch systems and it took a while to discover which combination that was, refer to the Aten website. Usual 1 to 2 minute delay initially while windows figures out a USB keyboard & mouse is fitted but after that it switches instantly. I even had a USB Floppy Drive working from the other port, no problems at all. I donФЗЦt use the audio link, but the lead has a nifty attachment that can be slid down the main cable to keep it neatly out of the way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK - BUT There is a problem if you switch to a PC in standby more. It does not wake that PC up so you are stuck connected to a PC with no mouse/keyboard interaction. I think eventually the switch flips back to the first PC you were switched to. The same seams to happen when you boot only one PC if the switch was last connected to the other one . Maplin tech support said try a different type of switch So only use if you switch between your PC's more frequently that the standby mode cuts in and if you only boot them both at the same time. Will be returning this to Maplin tomorrow and will have to buy a KVM with a physical switch to flip between the two PC's inputs which Maplin only sell on line and not in store

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have now purchased eight of these to replace other types of KVM switch within my company. Never had any complaints or problems with these KVMs, they are also more user friendly as they are switched by the keyboard scroll lock key.

Hi I have a Logitech G920 race wheel and am looking for a usb switch box to plug the wheel into then run 1 usb lead to my PC & a 2nd usb lead to my Xbox one. Will this work & If not do you have something that will. Cheers

Asked by: Mark
Unfortunately this may not work as the Xbox One may not recognize a connection via KVM switch, you will most likely have to switch the USB cable each time

This unit is designed specifically for connecting two computers to one monitor, mouse and keyboard so unfortunately I could not guarantee compatibility.

I want to use 1 monitor, 1 mouse and one keyboard with two laptops. Will this allow me to do that? From the diagram I can't see how the KVM switch connects to the laptops. What do you use to connect the switch to the two laptops? Thanks.

Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately i am sorry but the item in question doesn't support use in you intended application. You can do it with this ATEN 2 Port USB KVM code : A56GU .
