About this product

Product overview

• Dynamic style microphone that is most commonly used for live audio performances such as karaoke
• Handheld style microphone
• Cardioid polar pattern for a more sensitive sound from the front while isolating ambient noise from behind the microphone
• XLR connection for easy connection to mixers or amplifiers
• A sensitivity of -55dB allows you to get an excellent response to quieter sounds

What is the advantage of having a condenser microphone?
Dynamic microphones are widely used because they’re hardwearing, relatively inexpensive and don’t need a power supply. Dynamic microphones are effective when used with loud sound sources that don’t contain a lot of detail at a very high frequency, meaning they are perfect for use with picking up vocals as well as a range of instruments such as drums and guitars.

What direction does the dynamic microphone pick up sound from?
This microphone has a cardioid polar pattern which means it is more sensitive to sound to the front of the unit and less sensitive at the back. The pickup is based in one direction which makes it effective for isolating unwanted sound as well as having a high resistance to feedback from speakers. This makes it the perfect microphone for using in a live performance environment, such as in a studio or even a karaoke.

What would I use this microphone with?
This microphone is fitted with an XLR connector that can connect to a wide range of equipment such as a mixer, an amplifier or a recorder. The XLR connector will allow you to setup the microphone in a matter of minutes using a suitable length cable to prevent it getting in the way or becoming a trip hazard. This means that the microphone can be positioned exactly where it is needed to create the best recording. The microphone can be used to record vocals such as singing or a presentation, or even record many different instruments such as acoustic guitars or piano.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great choice for live performance I haven't had this mic long but, if it keeps performing like it has the few times I've used it, I will have it for a long, long time! Great sound reproduction and virtually no "p" pops! Not sure what else to say except that I'm happy that I own this mic and will get a couple more in the future.
