Will this Belkin hub be compatible with an iBookG4 running Mac OS X (version 10.3.6) of 2004 vintage and a HP laserjet 1022 printer? I need something to replace a Belkin hi-speed USB 2.0 4-port hub with the product reference (I think) of F5U234.

This is described as being 'powered'. Does this mean that, whilst this is being used as a 4xUSB extension, it can be mains powered?  I would like to use 4 high powered USB devices on this hub which would draw too much power from one USB port on my PC.

Asked by: Sensoriumism
The hub has it's own power supply so any device connected to it does not draw current from the computer, it is fed directly from the hub. The hub has a max current of 1A per port.
