How can I connect to this monitor?
This monitor has a variety of ports so you can easily connect to a range of devices. It has a 15 pin VGA connection for analogue input, a DVI-D connection for enhanced picture quality and two HDMI connections for high definition inputs. This range of options means you can connect to not only a desktop PC but also laptops and game consoles. You can also connect your headphones or computer speakers through the 3.5mm port, so you can choose to keep the volume down or make it as loud as you please.

What advantage does the S.Switch have?
This switch allows you to customise your settings for different situations. You can switch between these settings at the push of a button without having to reach for your monitor and change the settings every time.

What other features does this monitor have?
This monitor comes with the added features of motion blur reduction, low blue light and black equaliser. Motion blur reduction gives you an ultra-smooth blur free gaming experience, giving you the best quality even in action-packed games where every millisecond counts. Low blue light is an eye safety precautionary measure that offers an adjustable low blue light level, keeping your eyes protected and reducing the need for yellow tinted glasses. The black equaliser increases the visibility in dark scenes by brightening them without over-exposing the bright areas, preserving the vital details and allowing you to react quickly in any situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I was sceptical whether or not one of these would be worth the money but can honestly say that it is worth every penny! I have had some problems and had to return a few monitors recently for back-light/pixel issues (not this particular model though), so being able to see the one on display and test it out in store was a great help. Yes the colours need a bit of tweaking out of the box but after a little adjustment and applying the colour profile found at TFTCentral it looked almost as good as the IPS screen I tested recently and I couldnt't be happier. Much credit to the Maplins staff who were extremely helpful and professional when I was being a bit demanding! Note: It mentions light-boost it in the description but I can confirm this is the REV 2.0 model that is capable of 144Hz.

There are two versions of this monitor, and one has a 144z refresh rate and the other does not, the link in a previous a previous question directs to a benq page but it does not mention what version of the monitor is, could i get some confirmation?

Asked by: Hudson91
The only part number we have for this monitor is XL2420Z, the full details of which are on the BenQ page in the previous answer. That page does list the GROM feature supporting a refresh rate up to 144Hz. With no revision attached to the item code, we would expect our stock to meet the specifications on that page.
