Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed First thing I did was order a couple more label tapes in different colours. After taking a few minutes to work out how to get the tabs and label widths how I wanted them, I was up and running and delighted with the results. It wasn't long before I was labelling computer items, mains plugs, fusebox - anything I could see that would be more easily identified with a quality label on it. My missus has already ordered a whole load of labels for her herb and spice jars and is looking around for anything else to label. Highly delighted and thoroughly recommended. Great value on special offer from Screwfix.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value for money Very good value for money. It could do with a case or pouch, however. Useful for labeling cables, such as the tangle at the back of the computer, or if you are an electrician and would like to leave useful clues to those who come after you. The compatible tape is much cheaper than the proprietary tape, but I have yet to try it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did the job wastes loads Ok does what you need it to do but prints of loads of excessive tape that just gets wasted

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Geat Value This is a product which is undersold by the manufacturers. Not only is it excellent for electricians with the cable marking feature but for many other proffessions and hobbyists alike,. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants an affordable labeling machine Well done Brother - but think outside the box for your marketing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the job! I am really delighted with the PT-E100VP label printer. Took a few minutes to work out the margins but once sorted, the printer works brilliant. The print quality is excellent & the options are extensive. It is just the job & I highly recommend it :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adequate for Job Bought this at half price & was glad I hadn't paid more for it. It is adequate, didn't blow me away but did mostly what I needed it to. As with all these type of labelling machines, the money is in the tape - lots wasted about 25mm on each print which is hard to overcome with the cable wrap option. That is the major downside to it - you can't make the text bigger on the wrap option. Granted you are only printing onto 12mm wide tape (max) and there is a limit to how big the characters can go, but I only wanted two digits and they always came out tiny. Tried other options such as putting more characters on to see what happened and the text remained the same. None of the text sizing or margin options seemed to have any effect in this mode. The flag option works well but can be messy on the front of a network switch, hence why I used the wrap option. Get more tapes as you order, as there isn't an awful lot in the "trial" cartridge. Have used both OEM and 3rd party tapes and both seem to work well. At £25 it was worth it, any more I would look to something else or a better model. Battery life was OK with a full day of printing on Nimh rechargeables without needing replacing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Easy to set up and use but buy a reel of tape at same time as provided is only a sample. Only cricism is cable option has printing round the cable need to print out and extend tape to get full view.

What is the difference between the PT-E100 and the PT-E100VP?

As we do not sell the VP we do not hold in depth specification for this so would not be able to accurately compare.
