Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent item that works very well. Needed to plug in my swan cctv recorder to my router but have both in different rooms so needed this. Works excellent but what really impressed me was when I connected a PS3 to it and checked the broadband speed. Speed was almost identical than if plugged in to the router itself! Be aware that this works through your existing electrical wiring so not sure if it would work upstairs as a lot of houses have separate ring mains for up and downstairs. Just gutted I didn't pay the extra for the two input model so I could leave PS3 and cctv constantly connected.

do these need to be plugged straight into wall socket or can they be used with an extension lead as well?

Asked by: adzitfc82
These work best connected directly from the plug socket, we cannot advise full compatibility with an extension socket.

Do these contain an in-built filter so as anything plugged in has any electrical noise reduced to help improve power-line transmission speed? Cheers

Asked by: Glyn
No, I am sorry but the item will not be suitable.

Can these be used to connect outbuildings with the internet in the house - even if the electrical circuit in the house and outbuilding are separate and not connected? If so what sort of distance will work? Is 30 metres too far?

Asked by: AFAL
Unfortunately these would not be suitable.

Will Home extender plugs function from any wall 3 pin power socket? eg Doubles, power sockets on spurs, from power socket adaptors.

Asked by: Paintpot
These work best connected directly from the plug socket , single or double.
