Wide coverage for extra peace of mind
An all-in-one home security system that keeps you safe, this IP camera from Canary lets you see what is happening in your home before giving you the opportunity to take action. It has a 1080p camera which captures every little detail, and with a 147 degree angle of coverage, you can be sure that this camera will catch anything suspicious. The camera also turns on night vision automatically, giving you peace of mind while you are asleep. An additional three cameras can be added to one location, so you can enhance your home security by increasing coverage.

Smart features
Aside from protecting you from burglars, this camera’s HomeHealth technology helps you monitor various aspects of your home, from air quality to temperature and humidity. This can help you understand how your home affects your health. It can also be used to let you know if you’ve left your oven on or if you have an air quality problem, like a gas leak. You can monitor this information from the dedicated Canary app, which is available for Apple iOS and Android devices.

Get notified when activity is detected
When the camera senses anything out of the ordinary, it sends a notification with encrypted HD video and audio to your phone via the Canary app. Once you have seen this, if you deem it necessary you can sound the built-in 90 dB siren or contact local emergency services near your home. This keeps you up to date, so you don’t have to miss any potentially damaging situations. Via the app the camera can tell if you are at home or away, and automatically arms the camera when you leave your home. All of these features help to make the Canary IP the complete home security system.

Review footage remotely
Whether you are out and about, away at work or on holiday, you can view live footage from your camera via the Canary app. Footage is only captured after motion has been detected and saved online to the cloud (free access to the last 12 hours of footage is included), helping to save on valuable storage space. Securing video and data has been one of Canary’s priorities while designing this, so every single part of the system has extensive security measures in place to protect your data. The use of AES 256-bit symmetric-key encryption, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), secure HTTP access (HTTPS) using TLS/SSL and more, demonstrates Canary’s commitment to security.

Easy to set up
Not only is this camera a great all-in-one home security system, it is also very easy to set up. First, place the Canary in an area that an intruder will definitely pass by such as near the entrance. Next, plug it in and connect it to the internet using the free Apple iOS or Android app. For an extra layer of protection when you have other commitments, simply add more users, so that a notification never goes unseen.

Monitor your property with live viewing
Canary allows you to monitor your property remotely with free basic 24/7 live viewing on your smart device, motion activated previews, 24 hours of video storage and timeline, automatic arming/disarming, activity zone control, and one touch access to responders. This experience is free and comes with the basic features , if you want the full-fat experience you can upgrade to the complete experience which includes full length motion activated video alerts, 30 days of video storage/timeline, unlimited downloads of video to your camera roll, two-way Canary talk, desktop streaming, and custom modes for extra personalisation. The complete experience is great value compared to other smart monitoring brands and is perfect for you if you want to take your Canary device to the next level. You also have the option to subscribe annually and receive two months free!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was great, until Canary disabled the advertised free features! This used to be a great system, but Canary have recently overhauled the free membership option. The camera now will not automatically arm itself at night, so if you’re at home you will have to manually activate it if you want it to capture any activity at night.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall not Bad. I brought this to keep an eye on my work premises. Very easy to set up and the app is also easy to use with some handy features. I opted for the subscription to extend recordings to 30 days. You have to play around with the app settings to get notifications to work how you want. Only downside I found was that I kept losing the live view as it was losing wifi connection. Tried everything in the help section to remedy but had to conbect via an Ethernet cable to the router in the end. Strange as the wifi signal was full?? Overall it does what I need it to do so although a little pricey would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very happy with the camera Nicely packaged and easy to set up. So far generally reliable although just occasionally I have had a problem accessing a recording or live view - always ok when I try later, without need for reboot. Very reassuring to be able to view interior of house when away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Bought this today and in the short time I have used it i am absolutely thrilled with the ease of use and quality. At first I thought the unit was a little light in terms of weight but the quality of the picture from the camera is truly brilliant as is the quality of the night vision. Honestly the night vision is clearer than my own home cctv system. The microphone is something else on this unit. The tiniest noise is picked up and is clearly audible at less than full volume. All brilliant things but there are 2 small downsides in my opinion. Firstly the canary app is a little slow at times (might be just me) and the other thing is not having a facility for internal storage. You have to pay for cloud like storage at £7.99 per month. But here aren't enough to put me off giving it 5*. Highly recommended

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was good - now awful Without an ongoing subscription Canary is useless. Only 10 second clips, no recording at night, no 2 way talk, no downloading of clips. Avoid - it seems just not worth the ongoing subscription which will cost you Moreno than the unit. Also questionable if the company can take away features leagally based on what you bought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Easy! Excellent picture quality and great features Had for a week, really easy to set up just download app on phone and all instructions are there. Included is 14days free service. You can watch it live when your away, and it changes settings as soon as you leave house with your phone! Very good piece of equipment. The siren is very loud which you can set off via your mobile

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set up with clear picture This was easy to set up and the picture and sound are great quality. The app is good. The only downside is having to pay extra to keep more than 24 hours of video. Overall we're impressed with it and it definitely gives us peace of mind at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canary IP camera A great little camera that allows me to monitor my unoccupied flat day or night, just in case there is an intruder. Night vision is good in total darkness. Easy to install and monitor on my phone. The wide angle lens allows me to see the whole room. My only fear is accidentally hitting the intruder alarm button on my phone as it is very close the the "back" keypad.

Yes, once configured to your home network you would be able to use this without cabling to your router, provided the area you intend to position the camera has a sufficiently strong signal.
