Bring your creations to life with 3D printing
The Robox 3D printer features a dual extruder designed for 1.75 mm filament, capable of printing using a wide range of materials including ABS, PLA and more. There are a variety of filament materials, finishes and colours available allowing you to create your 3D models exactly how you want them. The changing of these materials is made straightforward thanks to the CEL provided profiles, covering a wide range of materials for your printer.

How easy is this 3D printer to set up and use?
The printer comes pre-assembled with a reel of filament making it ready to use straight out of the box. The Robox 3D printer also includes the AutoMaker software which is designed to make 3D printing simple and straightforward. Simply import your .stl and .obj CAD files to the printer to start bringing your creations to life.

Can the 3D printer be expanded?
Variable resolution settings allow flexibility when creating your 3D models. Choose between printing in high quality and printing at higher speeds to suit your 3D CAD creations. The 4GB of internal memory allows you to store your prints for quick and simple access. The memory can be further expanded by using microSD memory cards.

Where can I find 3D printing resources?
3D printing allows you to design your own creations or use designs created by others. There are plenty of resources available to help you make the most of this tech.

Free software such AutoDesk 123D Design allows you to make your own model as simple or as detailed as you like. Click here to go to AutoDesk 123D

Thingiverse also has a large collection of 3D models that you can download and print for free. Click here to go to Thingiverse

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comes already calibrated - simply start printing! Got mine yesterday, and I am very pleased with it. The initial calibration has already been done for you and this printer automatically re-calibrates itself (distance head-to-bed) at the start of each print. Run a test print first on 'Normal' setting (just to use both fine and coarse/fast heads and expunge the test 'pink' filament from factory testing) - once you've done that' it's basically click and print! I also have the Velleman K8200, and even though the robox printer is more expensive, it was worth it if you just want to get on and print stuff with the minimum of fuss. If you like tinkering and messing about with the technology then the K8200 is probably more up your street. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the printer!

Would it be possible for example to create a bust of someone's face from a photo? Also will it work with a normal Dell PC? (Desktop) Thanks!

Asked by: Austin
You would not be able to extrapolate the 3D detail from a flat photo, but we did create one by using a 3d scanner to scan one of the colleagues here and then 3D print the result. The printer will work fine on any Windows based PC as long as it complies with the minimum system requirements stated at the bottom of the listing. Your description gives a suggestion that this has dual nozzles, but the specs says only one nozzle...which is it and can you correct the description/specs as needed?

Asked by: saif
This has two nozzles, but they are used for a single print, one is for fine details the other for doing bulk parts of print quickly.
