What eyepieces come in the kit?
Improve your viewing experience and change the way you see things through your telescope with this great 14-piece accessories kit. Each of the five Plossl eyepieces are fully multi-coated to give you a clear and crisp image. The smaller focal lengths (6mm & 8mm) are good for high magnifications to see the planets and the moon, the middle focal lengths (7mm & 13mm) are good allrounders and the larger lengths (32mm) are best to search lager areas of the sky. The Barlow lens allows you to double the magnification of any of the other eyepieces. The Possl eyepieces have an apparent field of view of 52 degrees and four-element design.

What can the filters be used for?
This kit comes with seven different filters for observing planets and the moon. These filters can be used on most 32mm (1.25 inch) eyepieces with standard filter threads. The moon filter is tinted to reduce glare from the moon which increases the contrast so you can see more details. The coloured filters can be used in many different ways to see different things. Use a red or yellow filter to see the ice caps on Mars, see the red spot on Jupiter with the orange filter, see Saturn’s rings and cloud belts in a new light with the green and light green filters and use a blue filter to see clouds on Mars or separate the Antares binary star. These filters are not suitable for viewing the Sun.

Is the case padded?
When you’ve finished stargazing you can pack the accessories back into the metal carry case. The sturdy metal case has foam padding to protect your eyepieces and filters. There is even enough room to store more accessories, simply remove the foam cubes to create a tight protective fit.

Would this kit do for solar eclipse ???? And if not do you do one ???
Asked by: stuart smith
No, you would need a solar filter - nothing in this kit would be suitable.
