What can I see with these binoculars?
Watch birds in flight or boats on the horizon with these 15 times magnification binoculars. Get a great view, even in low light and at long range, with 70 mm diameter lenses. Multicoated lenses reduce glare and help you get a clear, sharp image. Easy to focus with a central knob and ready to go when you are, these binoculars are perfect for finding the best view in the great outdoors.

What other features do they have?
These fog-proof binoculars will give you a great view without condensation, and come with a cloth to keep your lenses in good condition. The eyepieces have foldable eyecups, great for viewing with if you don’t have glasses and easy to fold if you do. You can get your eyes up to 18mm from the eyepiece and still see the full image with the SkyMasters eye relief.

How portable are they?
These binoculars are 200mm x 279mm x 81mm and weigh 1.36kg. The binoculars come with a neck strap to help you carry them around. The rubber coating and rain guard make these a great pair of binoculars for outdoor use. If you’re staying in a hide, waiting for a perfect view, you can connect them to a tripod (not included) using the tripod adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for amateurs! My binoculars arrived last week and I couldn't wait to get out and look at the night sky with them. So many stars! They are relatively light and easy to steady given the size, I haven't used them with a tripod yet but will do so for focusing on particular objects e.g. andromeda. The maginification isn't mind blowing but the light gathering ability of these binoculars is fantastic, I can see so much more than with my 8x10's! The image is large and clear with only a little distortion at the edges. The focusing wheel is also excellent and very gradual so you can make subtle changes easily. They arrived quickly and well packaged, great to get free postage too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The quality is more than I expected You have to remember, the focal point of these binoculars is about 44 feet. They will not focus on anything that is under 44 feet. I have measured and set up my bird feeders 44 feet away from the binoculars. Amazing detail, I actually watched a Cardinal wake and yawn! At night they really show a lot of detail on the stars, satellites, and the moon. Much more than I would see with the naked eye. I use a tripod, as these weigh about 3 pounds. Once I focus them I can watch my feeder, or the moon and stars, and these are perfect for a tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for price binos. Very happy with these binos, Maplins price is really great for these, had searched a number of sites before finding these Celestron SkyMasters at a lower price than other sites, delivery was fast even though I hadn,t required fast delivery. A few other reviews I had read on other sites complained about collimation problems, mine were perfect, they are on the heavy side but what do you expect, they are bigger than ordinary bino,s, some found that it was difficult to hold steady on a distant object, try holding them at the large lense end and it really minimises the problem, rest the small end on your eye sockets and bingo, very little wobble. Really good viewing of planes flying overhead into Manchester, Leeds/ Bradford and Doncaster they seem to cross were I live, the moon is really good but I haven,t had chance to look for planets yet, to wrapped up with moon observing, I couldn,t get on with a telescope, these do what I want very well.
