About this product

  • 4 Port hub
  • USB 2.0 full speed
  • 40x faster than USB 1.1

Product overview

• 4 Port hub
• USB 2.0 full speed
• 40x faster than USB 1.1
• Specifically design for desktop use
• Embedded USB connection cable
• Truly plug & play and hot swappable

This 4 port USB 2.0 hub is designed for both the desktop and portability. The foldable design means it takes less space for transportation and with the embedded USB cable it means that when the hub is not used the cable is stored inside the bottom of the hub. The hub can be used with both PC and Mac and has a recessed power port if your peripherals need additional power.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap & Good! I noticed the other reviews were focusing on the short cable, while the short cable could be inconvenient to some, I don't think it justifies giving this product such a low rating. For a USB hub at this price, it's an absolute steal. I've had it for a few months now and haven't had any problems with it. It seems flimsy and cheap but it does the job. I use it with my MacBook Pro and a Focusrite Scarlett audio interface and there's no discernible difference in audio quality or latency when comparing the interface being plugged in directly or through the hub. Having splurged on a Mac, the last thing I wanted was to pay through the nose for extra features that should have come as standard (i.e. more than 2 usb ports) so this was a super cheap and easy solution. Folds away nicely too (Y).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Brought in late August and now in November it's already broken, in addition to this the connection cable is unbelievably short and can't even lay flat on my desk when plugged into my Mac. Seeking a refund now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shortest lead in the world! Do not buy Bought it this morning. I said to the shop staff I was after a long lead, but they did not know and guessed it would probably be 1 metre in this product. There was nothing about the lead on the packaging and, indeed, a misleading box in the packaging (which usually contains the long wires/plugs etc, but was empty). The lead is not 1 metre, but 2 inches ... I can just about plug it in, but when other USB plugs come along, it becomes a forest of wires next to my laptop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stupid Wire The wire length is ridiculously short leaving the hub hanging down the side of laptop - Should have checked reviews before buyiing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from small and portable excellent value for money. small, neat and very portable. just what i need for my laptop. the cable is very short (approx 2 inches) but that's all i needed anyway -don't want extra cables everywhere. this is compact enough to stands on its narrow length/edge, at the side of the laptop and works a treat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neat little wonder This gadget is exactly what one wants if more USB ports are needed close to a laptop. It is easy to connect/disconnect peripherals and the cable is short for a reason; it tucks away inside a covered enclosure of the unit. I think that is rather convenient. Also the ports fold away in the unit for easy travel. For power hungry items, say a mobile phone, one can add a 5V DC input on the unit so save your laptop battery. A well conceived, designed and manufactured unit. I am very pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Fine. I can't fault this product, I bought it for my ASUS Laptop to power an external Optical Disk Drive to run games off of and it works fine. Although, I would not recommend buying for a desktop as the embedded USB Cable is roughly only around 2 Inches long.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Hub's Rub. I read the reviews so only I can take the blame! The hub does the job nicely. You can connect quickly & efficiently but the tiny cable the hub has? Really? The size of the packaging implies more.

This is not charging my iPhone 8 and the gentleman said that it would? Please help

Asked by: Chazzakelly
When using a USB hub to charge something like an iPad or iPhone you would need to use a powered hub with a UK mains plug for the additional current needed.

I have bought this hub and need to use it with a power adaptor. Does the output need to be exactly 5 volt and 1 amp? Also, what size of pin does it require?

Asked by: Kate
You would need 5V, up to 2 amps, the tip will need to be 2.35mm wide.
