Being able to get yourself moving when suffering a flat battery or even a flat tyre is always important. Keeping this all-in-one car emergency unit charged and in the boot of your car will save you time and money and prove its worth on countless occasions.

Note:
To achieve the best performance, your jump starter must be fully charged before initial use and then fully charged again after use.
This product must be charged a minimum of every two months to maintain the condition of the battery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reasonably impressed with this. It takes a while to charge but they all seem to and it's certainly compact (25cm wide, 23cm tall and 15cm deep) and fairly light. I have yet to test it's jump starting ability. The 12v charger works well - I've only tested it on mobile phones but it provides as effective a charge as a car would. The inflator also works well but has two issues for me: the locking mechanism on the valve is not as positive as many and for high pressure tyres feels like it may be difficult to lock; more importantly, the hose is very short - only 40cm compared to 67cm on my footpump. Thus if the valve is at the top of the wheel you'll have to hold the unit to reach rather than leave it on the ground. The instructions with it are clear and the led light is a bonus.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Twice I have needed to use it, and twice it has not been up to the job. Despite initially fully charging the unit, and the green charge lights suggesting the the battery is ready to go, connected up to cars with weak but not totally flat batteries and it made no appreciable difference to attempts to crank the engine. Compressor works, but that is not the primary purpose of the unit. First car was 2.5 litre 6cyl, but second was 2.3 litre 4 cyl. Both petrol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from During my stay on the Island I went to your shop and bought one. It saved my a few times since and happy with it. Also inflated a flat tyre, so worth it??s money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not up to the job My inflator died just out of warranty, only having used it a few times. On opening up I found that motor has a metal cog that drives a plastic cog to run the pump. 3 teeth of the plastic cog are shredded. Now it is useless because of a few missing bits of plastic. Plastic cog on metal cog? Bad design.

Hello I was given one of these when buying my car, but it didn't come with 3-pin charger or cigarette socket equivalent, pictured.  Do you know if you sell these replacement items, please?  I live near a Maplins, but am stuck in work atm :-( Thanks!

What is the maximum engine size that this can be used on? I need to jump start the batter on a 2.5 litre engine.

Asked by: Neil
This would depend on the cranking power the vehicle requires . This can be found from the cars manufactures or the user manual.

My jump starter came without a manual. How can I charge this jump starter and can a manual be downloaded?

Asked by: Senator
We have provided a manual right there on the product listing, you can find it under the downloads tab. Charging would be achieved by using the power supply that came with the device. https://maplindownloads.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/N21KJUser-Manual-9162.pdf
