Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had one of these for over a year and it works absolutely fine in a number of machines. I use it predominantly for MicroSD and standard SD, although I have used MS cards as well on a couple of occasions. Machines have been running Windows XP, 7 and 8/8.1. But... read the spec! It doesn't say it supports SDXC does it? No, This device was manufactured before that standard came along so while it *might* work don't assume it will. Also if you are using XP (certainly, not sure about Win7) make sure you have the Windows Updates that have extended Windows recognition of SD devices to the HC and XC capacities.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Purchased one the other day as I lost my SD card reader. Did not work, any SD card I inserted would show the data for a brief second but would vanish when I tried to open. Formatting did not help. Look into things a little further and found it uses a very cheap USB chip which might help explain things. Brought a different model and that works perfectly so I cant recommend this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No problems. Bought this so I could try and use some recovery software on a corrupt SD card from my 'phone. Few instructions but worked as expected as 'plug & play'. (But why do suppliers now print everything so small one has to use a magnifying glass to read anything at all?) I recovered most of my missing pictures, so I was very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had two of these card readers. They both work perfectly, unlike some of the cheaper brands I have tried (e.g. from the high street"bargain" shops). That said they are not expensive - in fact they are very versatile covering all current flash memeory card formats - and are therefore exceptional value for money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought this recently to use with my SDXC card. I managed to get it to work in XP once I had installed the exFAT patch but it would not work at all under Windows 7 and I could not find drivers for Windows 7 anywhere for this. Would not recommend this device.
