What can you do with this kit?
Can you light the UFO? The aim of the game is to fire the meteor into the crater with the catapult to give the UFO the boost it needs to light up. Use the meteor catapult to challenge your friends and family to get the meteor in the crater. The kit (model number 38819N) comes with one light meteor and one heavier to give you more challenges. With 22 pieces the space lever is fun to build as well as play.

What does this teach?
Levers are used all the time in everyday life in scissors, wheelbarrows and seesaws and this kit gives you a look at how exactly they work. The kit comes with a shooting platform and a balancing basket to show you two different uses of levers. They are made up of three informant factors, the load (in this case the meteor), the fulcrum where the bar is connected and the pivot point where the bar balances over the fulcrum. See if you can balance the heavy and light meteors by setting the right pivot point over the fulcrum or see how changing the pivot point on your catapult affects it getting into the crater.

Mix and match with Connex
Be creative with your kit by mixing components with other Connex kits (take care to match power requirements). No soldering is required with this kit, all the components can be connected using the supplied wires fitting into the springs on the board. No need to worry about losing pieces, the kit comes in a box that doubles as a base to assemble the kit on and a storage box when you tidy it away. This kit requires two AA batteries (sold separately Order Code <L43AL>).

This kit should be used with adult supervision and assistance and is suitable for children aged 8+
