Will this be the right cooler for me?
Cooler Master’s Hyper 103 CPU air cooler helps to not only keep your CPU cool, but also adds a great visual effect to your case thanks to the blue LED fan. The included fan can spin at a maximum 2200RPM, which produces 30dBA of noise, 2.63mm/H2O of static pressure and moves 43.1 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air. This generates fantastic airflow to keep your heat pipes cool and your CPU as well. You can also use your own fan – the brackets are easily removable from the fan provided and simply click into place.

Three heat pipes are in direct contact with the CPU to ensure you get maximum heat dissipation. Utilising patented air-guide technology, airflow is guided by the fins and perforated dimples towards the heat pipes. Furthermore, X-shaped vents create several vortices of air, improving general airflow near the heat pipes. All these technologies help to keep your CPU temperatures as low as possible.

How do I change the fan speed?
The included 92mm fan supports pulse width modulation (PWM) which gives you more control over the speed, allowing you to reduce the speed from 2200RPM to a minimum 800RPM. This reduction in fan speed lowers noise production to a near silent 17dBA, but also lowers airflow to 15.7CFM. With such a wide RPM range to choose from, you can always fine tune the fan for maximum cooling or silent operation.

What is this compatible with?
Packaged with a number of fixings, this CPU cooler is compatible with all the major Intel and AMD motherboards and CPUs, such as Intel LGA 2011, 115x (1156, 1155, 1151, 1150) and AMD AM3+ and FM2+. The fixings provided make it easy to install without any tools and with the heatsink being of a low profile design it can be used in small computer systems or builds where space is restricted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Massive improvement over the stock CPU fan Wanted a new CPU cooler as the one that comes with the AMD FX-8320 is really loud, so I picked up this one. It's a massive improvement over the AMD stock. The Hyper 103 is much more quiet and keeps the CPU anywhere from 10 to 20 degrees cooler. A tube of thermal paste was included too, which was a nice surprise that wasn't mentioned on the box, and saved me Ј5 from buying it separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooler Master Hyper 103 what a brill bit of kit. works very well, very quiet. a bit of work to install. ie having to take the mother board out to fix but it only takes a few mins to fit. well worth it.. it knocked 10c off the temperature of my cpu and that's running quiet..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job, but the fan is a touch louder than the one on the stock CPU cooler This is a decent quality cooler that provides a step-up in cooling performance from the stock cooler provided with the CPU. However, the instructions are far from clear - illustrations are small and explanation minimal (regardless of the number of languages you can read them in). It will require removal of the motherboard, so make good notes about what goes where as you go, and be absolutely sure about what you're doing at each stage when installing. Finally, point the heatstink towards your exhaust fan for best performance. I'd also note that the fan on this was a little noisier than the fan on the cooler it replaced, but not offensively so, and the improvement in cooling was worth it. Ultimately, this is a great, inexpensive upgrade, although probably not for you if you want to crazy overclocking - get something more expensive if that's what you plan to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMD AM3+ processor cooled to max 47 degree c My AMD FX 8150 8 core processor started over heating using the stock fan that came with it to 85 degree C + while playing some intensive games (battlefield 4/gta v). Bought this fan and slapped it in, my temperature hasn't risen over 47 degrees C so far. A solid buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good I got this yesterday and installed it fairly quickly. The supplied instructions are ok but the diagrams are a little small. Anyway the results were brilliant, ~15C drop against the standard cooler on an Intel Core 2 Duo E4400. Much less noise too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 30 degree reduction in temp! This fan reduced my processor temperature 30 degrees! It's easy to fit and my computer is so much quieter (stock fan was running almost constantly). It is however a little large, so check to make sure you have plenty of space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed Nothing to say that hasn't already been said! Found it a bit fiddly to install, but it's quieter than a church mouse :) Excellent bit of kit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good fan I brought this to replace a noise stock fan, and was surprised by the size, but fitted in really easy.
