How much air does this fan move and is it loud?
If you’re looking for fans that can move large amounts of air while generating little noise, then these Corsair AF140 fans are perfect for you. Both fans have been set to spin at 1150RPM to produce a fantastic airflow of 67.8CFM throughout your case. Additionally, rubberised corners give you sound damping properties when standard screws are used, with this generating 24dBA of noise.

How do I change the fan speed?
Included with this fan is a voltage step-down adapter which lowers and fixes the voltage of the fan from 12V to 7V. Reducing the voltage of the fan like this causes the fan to spin more slowly and produce less noise.

Where should I place these fans?
This fan performs best when they are affixed in unrestricted spaces. Designed with high airflow generation in mind, this fan is capable of moving 67.8CFM of air. You could place them at the rear or the top of your PC case as exhaust fans for your rig’s motherboard, CPU, graphics card and other components that fill your case with heat. Alternatively, you can fix them to your side panel or bottom intake fan mounting positions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fans! Great cooling These fans are great, changed out the standard fans on my Fractal Design Define R4 for these, the colour rings weren't much use to me as you couldn't see them but still a nice touch to colour match your build and easily paint-able to further match a build. Air flow is impressive and my internal temps dropped around 5-7 degrees, nice and quiet too. The Specifications mentions using them on a radiator or Heatsink, I wouldn't recommend them for this however as they don't build much if any static pressure. If you want a radiator or heatsink fan I'd say go with the Corsair SP line of fans instead of the AF line

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work Returned this because it did not work! Sadly noticed the wires were not colour coded which is poor practice for computer equipment.

As this is not the use for which it was designed to be used we can't provide advice on this.

Which fan is the quieter, this one or the Fractal (n91qq)? And what type of connector does it come with? is it designed to plug into mother board?
Asked by: Dennis
3 pin MB connector. Without a product code to the other fan I can't compare it.
