What can I run from this power supply?
If you’re looking for a power supply that will provide enough power for your high-end computer system, with enough headroom for overclocking of components, this 600W would be an ideal choice. The power supply is very efficient and runs quietly due to its large fan, providing you with low energy wastage and a quiet experience. In addition to providing enough power to your system, you’ll have some spare to obtain good overclocking speeds on your CPU or GPU, if you wish to do so in the future.

How quiet and efficient is this power supply?
This Corsair power supply comes with an 80 PLUS bronze efficiency rating, which means that the power supply must be at least 80% energy efficient at various loads. The CX600M is approximately 85% efficient, which means that it wastes roughly 15% of electrical energy as heat. The large diameter, thermally controlled fan makes this power supply quieter at lower loads, while the large diameter reduces noise when you're pushing your system hard. Under a full load this power supply produces 32dBA of noise, giving you a whisper quiet computing experience.

How does the semi-modular design benefit me?
The semi-modular design of this power supply comes supplied with only the necessary cables attached. In this case the motherboard and CPU power cords have already been connected to the power supply for you. With the remaining cables you only need to plug in the ones that you need, improving the airflow and aesthetic look of your build as there are fewer extra cables hanging around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality efficient power supply with leads that are obviously designed for the ease of installation. 8 pin 12v ATX connector does divide into 2x4 pin, just needs a little persuasion! Variable speed fan makes it very quiet in use. An excellent compromise between the cheaper 'budget' units and the more expensive 'professional' units. Would recommend this power supply to other PC users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At first I was considering a 750W version but after using a PSU calculator it turned out that 600W soul be enough for me. The power supply comes packaged in a secure but easy to open box. Inside, apart from the main box there are some cable ties, the modular cables and a UK kettle lead. 600W is enough to power a reasonably powerful CPU, a few hard drive/ SSDs, a mid-to-high range graphics card plus the usual fans and things like that. The information listed on the website is slightly inaccurate as you actually get 6 Sata connectors in that are found in the form of two called each containing three connectors. Also included were two PCI-E power called on one cable and a bunch of molex and fan connectors. These cables can all be removed but there is a 24-pin on a separate cable that there is no really no point in it being modular so it can't be taken off. The unit runs quietly compared to my old generic one and so far has been reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time installing a PSU, able to complete easily without instructions due to modular design. Very quiet compared to old PSU. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It says high efficiency and this DOES met the lowest level (Bronze) of the the recognised 80+ standard! It has to better than the six or seven others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just installed this PSU along with a Akasa X4 CPU cooler and a Akasa Ultra Quiet 8cm case fan. When starting the system up I had to check that all the fans were working as it's that quite now, before it sounded like a jet taking off. The modular cabling is tidier than the old PSU, which made the routing easier and tidier than the old one. I have a midi tower so the room is very limited but had no real problems installing it.
