What can I expect from this memory?
The Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3 Memory kit allows you to replace or upgrade any compatible motherboard in a desktop computer with extra, high performance memory. This allows your system to quickly and efficiently run multiple applications, and temporarily store large amounts of data for fast access.

What is this memory compatible with?*
Suitable for any motherboard that uses DDR3 240 pin DIMMs with a frequency of 2400MHz. Two bays are needed as the 16GB is spread over two RAM sticks. The Corsair Vengeance Pro is optimised for use with Intel® Core™ 3rd and 4th generation processors.

*Maplin Electronics always recommend consulting motherboard manufacturer for compatibility

What is XMP 1.3 and can I use it?
The Corsair Vengeance Pro Memory is integrated with an XMP profile which, when used with compatible motherboards, will allow you to automatically overclock the memory frequency, thus increasing the speed and boosting performance. Would these be bottlenecked by my motherboard and CPU:? Mobo: ASUS M5A97L M-LX3 CPU; AMD FX 6300

Asked by: Smarty092
The motherboard only supports a maximum of 1866MHz DDR3. As this is 2400MHz DDR3 it will run at a maximum of 1866MHz

Will this work with an intel i5-4430, and Asus H81M-PLUS motherboard

Asked by: SW1TCHBL4D3
Whilst it will fit it would not make any performance difference to that CPU in that particular motherboard. The i5-4430 is compatible with the following memory types DDR3-1333/1600, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.5V The Asus board would run the ram at a slower speed Due to Intel® chipset limitation, DDR3 1600 MHz and higher memory modules on XMP mode will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR3 1600 Mhz. All of this information is freely available and can be sourced on the respective manufacturer websites INTEL i5-4430 http://ark.intel.com/products/75036/Intel-Core-i5-4430-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_20-GHz Asus H81M-Plus https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/H81MPLUS/specifications/ 2 x either of the following would be cheaper and better suited http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/integral-8gb-ddr3-1600mhz-dimm-cl11-desktop-memory-n19nw http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/8gb-ddr3-1600mhz-desktop-memory-n24nw
