What can I run from this power supply?
This 350W power supply is capable of powering basic and home theatre systems (HTPCs). It is efficient and runs quietly, giving you little energy wastage and a non-disturbed home theatre environment. If you're looking to upgrade to components that are power hungry, a higher wattage power supply may be needed.

How quiet and efficient is this power supply?
With an 80 PLUS (white/standard) efficiency rating, this VS350 is approximately 80% energy efficient at various loads. This means that approximately 20% of electrical energy that is pulled from the wall, will be converted to heat. The thermally controlled fan spins at maximum speed when it pushed hard, and even under full load this power supply only produces 31dBA of noise. This means you won’t be disturbed when watching or streaming videos.

What can I do with this fully wired design?
Being fully wired means that this power supply comes with all the major cables you need already attached to it. For upgrading in the future this will come in handy, since you won't need to look for your modular cables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed, the staff were unbelievably helpful!! Bought this to replace the Liteon PSU in my ageing Compaq. Don't know a huge amount about PC's, but a bit of research and testing, put the fault down to the PSU. Ordered online to collect later in store. Took my half stripped tower with me to check this item would fit. Sean and George at the Brislington store were so helpful and accomodating, helped me confirm it was the PSU at fault and so I bought it. Easy to fit and powered up, hence I can type this review 2 hrs after buying it!!!! Thanks so much. I would say they went above and beyond, they could have just sold me the item and not helped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality power supply for a regular spec PC If you are building or replacing the power supply in a regular spec home/office PC with a typical graphics card and a couple of hard disks etc this is an ideal unit. Obviously for a performance PC you would need something more powerful, but 350W is fine for its intended purpose. The unit feels solid and well made, the leads are sleeved which keeps things tidier, and it seems to have all the outputs needed. 24 pin (splittable to 20 pin) motherboard power, 8 pin (splittable to 4 pin) CPU power, 8 pin (splittable to 6 pin) PCI-E power, 4 x SATA, 3 x Molex (IDE) and 1 x floppy. Two of the four SATA power plugs are on the same leads as the 4 pin Molex and floppy connectors - it would have been better if there were two leads with two SATA connectors each, and a separate lead for the older (probably unused) connectors. That's a minor niggle though. In use it is very quiet - I couldn't hear it over the CPU fan which is also quiet. Having a big fan which is speed controlled depending on temperature obviously helps. It's too soon to comment on reliability but as it comes with a 3 year warranty it must be built to last. Corsair are a respected brand too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Noisy fan bearing after just 2 months I bought a VS350 power supply to replace one that was making a whining noise after 3 years service in my deskside computer. The new one is now making a similar whine after just 2 months. Very dissappointing.
