Connect your Raspberry Pi model B+ or Pi 2 model B (Raspberry Pi not included) to the on-board HDMI driver to see your display on the clear high-resolution LCD screen. The clear case gives you a whole new way to see everything inside. The nine inch screen lets you see everything and the Raspberry Pi (not included) and driver fit neatly into the back of the enclosure to create a sleek, professional look.
What can I do with the enclosure?
The enclosure has a window on the rear to allow you to access the five control buttons. You can connect a wireless keyboard and mouse (not included) to the board to give yourself more options and allow for programming on the go. The driver board has two HDMI slots one for your Raspberry Pi (not included) and another for any external HDMI device. You can use the source button to switch between them. Get a complete media experience with a 3.5mm stereo audio jack, suitable for any headphones or speakers you want to include to add sound. If you wanted to use this board with an older monitor, there are solder pads and firmware support to add a VGA port.
What else do I need with this kit?
This enclosure and screen comes in a kit form and requires assembly. No mechanical tools are required to assemble the kit, as it screws together. The on-board driver board provides power to your Raspberry Pi with a USB 5V 1A output. You can power the driver board with a choice of a 12V 1A through a 1.7mm barrel connector, or a 5.2 2A with a micro-USB port (power supply not included), do not connect to both power supplies at the same time. Once the kit is set up, the only other things you’ll need are your input devices (mice, keyboard, touchpad, joystick or game controller) and your imagination.
