Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job! I bought myself a brand new, very expensive communications radio complete with outdoor antenna installation. All was well until the winter came and the central heating went on! OH DEAR! The radio was blanketed by horrendous interference, to the point it was useless. The "noise" was caused by the boiler! Enter "The Delta Suppression Filter". I fitted it inside the boiler at the mains entry point and... interference completely GONE! PLEASE DON'T ATTEMPT THIS YOURSELF! Get a qualified electrician in!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Record player motor supressor I used this on an old Garrard deck in a 1960s record player The motor increased the hum on the amplifier. The supressor had no effect when placed on the mains feed but worked like a charm when placed near to the motor on the turntable.

I believe filter capacitors like this one, intended for use with motors, are rated for peak voltages typically 4KV in addition to the normal 250V rms. Does this delta suppression filter have a high voltage rating like that. If so what is the rating pse?

Asked by: ChrisH
The manufacturer has only provided the 250VAC rating as the maximum voltage.

It has been advised that I fit a suppressor to a newly fitted LED light to prevent an occasional flicker.   Would you agree that this suppressor is suitable for resolving this issue?
