Rated 4 out of 5 by from It certainly makes a difference to the amount of channels you can pick up. One strange problem I have found is that when I am near my local airport and tuning into e.g. the tower I get other airport frequencies in the background. Dont know if this is a channel separation issue with my Uniden or is the Antenna just too good?

Wot type of antenna do I need for my digital scanner BCD996XT APCO 25 scanner to listen to the police

Asked by: Blueandson
sorry but this isn't something that we are able to advise on. It is illegal to listen to licensed private services such as police and taxi radio transmissions. Listening in on such broadcasts is an offence under Section 5(1) (b) of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949.

How does this connect to the uniden bearcat 92xlt?

Asked by: Alan
The cable that comes from the aerial is terminated with a BNC plug. The Uniden Bearcat 92XLT use the exact same connector for it's aerial. You would simply remove the existing aerial and attach the cable to the BNC connector on top of the Bearcat.
