What data can I view with this weather station?
This weather station will show you the temperature for the location you position it in. It can also predict the weather for five days, including the current day, by connecting to your computer with the USB wireless adapter.

How do I get the weather forecast?
You will need an internet enabled computer and a spare USB port. Connect the USB dongle to the computer and the weather station will automatically update the data straight from the Internet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little gadget, the weather updates on a regular bases, Good clear easy to read icons give you the weather predictions for five days . A couple of negative points. The wireless USB dongle could do with being smaller so it fits snug against the laptop. And it would be a plus if it worked from your network (router) rather than have the laptop or desktop on to update. All in all a great little gadget for good price...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish Internet indeed. Even local weather comes over the internet. Only inside temperature is actually measured. I expected exterior temperature, humidity & UV measured locally. Goodness knows what Max-Min is. Range of dongle is less than 1 metre, so can't be put on display on a shelf. Eats batteries, have to change them (AAA) weekly! If it hadn't been on 75% discount, I'd have sent it back. Now I'll just drop it in a WEEE recycle bin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even works on windows 8.1 !! There was nothing on the box about OS, but I picked one up for a fiver, thinking to give it a try. To my surprise, the software installed cleanly, and the dongle linked to the display unit. Now, about once an hour, there's a tiny message on the task-bar to say that the forecast is updating... I do NOT know how it plays with 'Metro' screen, because I'm a 'desktop' guy. I would like to know what RF the dongle uses, and if one dongle can drive two displays... But, for a fiver...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty poor Does what it says but cant change units - I didn't realise, and am stuck on Fahrenheit. And it EATS batteries. If you want to be able to read the display expect to change the 2 AAAs monthly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Software faulty The software that sits on your PC screen is faulty, the ticker tape display on top, shows wind direction as "S", when in fact is East, I cant find an update anywhere to update the software. Its not What I expected from the actual unit, has no humidity or wind direction. Not enough information for a serious Amateur to use, more for home use, or bedside table

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought this as a clock with the added bonus of s weather guide but battery life is extremely poor, has eaten through 3 sets in three weeks. Cheap so couldn't be bothered to take it back. Without connection to USB link battery life appears to be normal (so far 4 weeks!) and using it as a clock/calender.

Does this weather station show units as either °C or °F or only °F. If both, how are the units changed?

Asked by: LesD
The unit can do both, the information on how to change this will be in the manual for the item.

My weather station says it cannot connect to server since december 5th 2015. Is there an update required for this?

Asked by: Ianto
After a bit of delving I found that a pc update from Microsoft was blocking the gadget from logging on to the server - I had to get the software to recognise this gadget as OK and all seems fine now.

I have followed all instructions. Software has downloaded, but weather data will not upload from laptop to weather station. any ideas?

Asked by: Mike
It could just be a faulty unit . you can take it back to your local store and get help with the unit in store, if that doesn't help then you can exchange it for a new unit if the item is still under the 12 month warranty period .

Does this need a PC or just WiFi connection to internet?
Asked by: Martin Williams
This needs a PC with a USB socket, as the kit includes a USB dongle which transmits weather data to the station. RW
