What would I need this tester for?
This multimeter with environment testing is perfect for a range of applications. It is not only capable of testing for voltage, current and resistance, it can also measure sound levels, light levels, temperature and humidity. You can use the multimeter for testing noise levels in a loud environment for health and safety purposes or testing light levels in a workplace to check for sufficient light to work. Alternatively, check temperature and perform humidity tests for educational purposes in schools and rooms where humidity is an issue.

What can I read on this multimeter?
This multi-function digital multimeter is capable of reading AC and DC voltage, DC current, resistance and can also give an audible continuity reading. This gives you a range of functions perfect for a starter in electronics.

How easy is this multimeter to use?
This multimeter is simple to use and read. Depending on the job at hand, you can turn the dial to what you are wanting to test or measure and the screen will display the reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from well it's certainly feature packed! I bought it as a toolbox 'all in one' as I perform professional Video Conferencing installs for a living and need to measure Sound and light levels - usually use full blown professional units, but this is a great DMM and has the added 'multisensor'. its not as accurate as the professional ones... but they cost hundreds of pounds - and in comparative testing I can tell you that if you use the N21FR carefully you will get accurate results... which for the price is amazing. I have had it for a year now and its still going well. basically it Rocks!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I Bought this meter with great expectations the Lux setting worked well I tried the temperature setting internal worked fine but the external was very intermittent. the Audio was allover the place silence or noisy mad no difference the figures just kept changing. So I went back and very kindly they offered to change it apologizing I had to go to a different store as they only have one at each it appears. The lady at Tottenham took it out of the packet to test it before giving it to me and alas the same thing happened so I got my money back. If you do buy one get it checked before you buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little unit, with so much packed into it. I actually bought this for some of this add-on functionality rather than for the main electrical multimeter functions. Initially I wanted something to balance the sound on my home theatre system and could not justify the expense of a sound meter on its own. Got this unit for a similar price as a standard sound meter and it does so much more. This unit has worked perfectly for that. Its not mega quick, but quick enough for me to compare the sound levels out of each speaker. I have no idea if the actual decibel figures are 100% accurate, but for my needs it's great. The other temp, humidity and main electrical functions will all come in very useful I'm sure over the years. The fact that its encased in a nice shockproof case means that is more then likely to survive the odd knock. All in all, at this point very pleased. A+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of the most feature packed multimeters I have ever used. The meter is a little pricey compared to the usual non-branded multimeters. I don't think I have seen another meter that as many things that this one does. V (ac & dc), A, R, Temp, Lux I highly recommend this meter. The only downside I can see is that it does not come in a case to keep all the leads together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away by the features for the price. Very accurate and a useful addition to the toolbox

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little meter. I compared its DC voltage and resistance readings with those from a calibrated Fluke 87V (which costs around ?ъ400) and they were within 0.25%. Very impressive. The transistor gain measurement is also useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely amazing meter for the price. Has a rubber case that helps shield it from the usual knocks a multimeter gets in everyday use. Even without the additional functions such as the temperature probe (which seems accurate and is pretty useful!), light meter, or sound meter, it's a great addition to the toolbox!

the battery within needs changed. instructions are to remove screws on the back. but there are no screws to access the inside. so how do I get inside to change the battery?

Asked by: Mary 12
The multi-meter has an all over silicone protective cover, this needs to be removed from the unit. Once removed the access screws will be clearly visible.

Will this multimeter be tested prior to despatch? A feedback comment suggests that this is wise, inplying that the meter bought should be tested at one of your outlets prior to purchase. Prefer to buy online if I can!

Asked by: TJHO
The batch of the product will be randomly quality checked but we do not test each product.

With reference to KenJ's question. How does one remove the yellow case. It is on so tight I am afraid I might split the case. Is there an easy way to remove.

Asked by: Burnt Fingers
There is no special way to remove the yellow case removing the top part of the case should allow the rest to then come away from the unit.
