Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick from A Good, Durable Switch I bought this to go with the Missile Style Toggle Switch Cover (Code: N42AT) and it works perfectly. However, to fit it in the cover, the metal washer with the ON and OFF labels has to be removed, but I didn't find this an issue. This product seems durable and has a satisfying click when operated. I'm not an expert, but this product was perfect for what I needed. Will buy again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gary from Useless DPDT switch Bought this as a replacement "Radio / Phono" switch in an old US radio. Using a low Ohm meter I measured resistances before using. Got 7, 13 and many more including open circuit. Should take it back but can I be bothered to explain this to the non-techie store staff?

Could you tell me which of the crimps that you sell would be the correct ones for this toggle?
None of them as it utilises solder tags for connectivity.

Can I use this one switch to power on /off two seperate circuits. One 6 volt for white leds and the other is 3 volt for red leds . I have metered the switch and it seems possible. Thanks
We can provide you with product measurements or operational specifications such as voltage ratings or maximum current to help you ensure the device is suitable for the usage you intend. However we are unable to offer any advice with regard to project and/or circuit design, or comment on any specific intended use.

Is this DPDT switch 'make-before-break' (connection to one throw is established before connection to the other throw is broken so open circuit never happens) or is is 'break-before-make' (connection to one throw is broken before connecting to the other)?
This is a break-before-make switch

Is this a make -before-break or a break-before-make switch?
By it's very definition as an "on/off toggle switch" it is both ... In the "Off" position the circuit would be broken and you would switch it to the "On" position to make the circuit. Vice Versa in the "On" position the circuit is made and switching to the "Off" position will break the circuit.

Will this switch handle 24 volt supply
Specifications for the switch are provided on the listing I've copied them below rated 2A 250Vac, 6A 125Vac These are maximum voltage and current ratings. WARNING : If you are in anyway unsure what these figures mean then you should seek advice from a qualified electrician.

Has this switch have screw connections,if not do you have one
On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.
