Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works! I fitted this card in a suitable bay & moved the locking bar above it into position to keep it secure. (The locking bar is an angled piece of plastic with pins on it that go through the screw-hole at the top of the card you are installing instead of the more usual screw! Most cards mounted in this way can usually rely on a motherboard socket to add to stability but this card has only fly-leads) Sadly, the metal this is made from is not thick enough to do the job properly and so the first time I plugged into it, it dislodged from the locking bar. So, only option was to remove the plastic locking mechanism from my PC and fit screws to all installed cards instead! Whilst this does make all cards more secure, it is a pain that I had to do it! Sadly, the USB card still flexes quite a bit when plugged into but at least it doesn't fall into the PC! The reason for the unexpected 4 star rating is the price! What on earth can you get for 2 quid these days!!!! And it does what it's supposed to do.

Is this the correct connector for an A7S333 motherboard? The manual only stipulates a "USB Header 10-1 pin". Thank you
Asked by: Chris Gilliard
The connector is a standard USB header fitting and is suitable for all boards.

There is actually 2 different pin outs for USB headers - one is symmetric and use all 10 pins with wires connected. The other has a dead pin9. Which is this
Asked by: peter.rowan

Just got one of these from you, fitted it, but i get yellow ! mark in device manager against "simple communications controller" I assume this is it, try to update drivers but windows cant find any. The device does not work, & there were no drivers with it. how should I proceed?
Asked by: Rick Wenham
Drivers are not required for this device,as it is only an extention cable in effect, try reinstalling your motherboard drivers.
