Rated 1 out of 5 by from I agree with Chris's comments. I bought this product specifically to use the a cf card. It was very difficult to insert the cart - the slot seemed too tight. Also there is no indication as to which way the card should go into the slot. The third time I used it nothing happened!! On investigating, I could see one of the pins was bend making it impossible for the card to fit. Useless for the very purpose I bought it!! Has anyone found a cf reader which they are happy to recommend??

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought this primarily for the CF capability. Totally useless as the alignment strips are a very loose fit on the card, resulting in bent pins. OK for SD etc,but if you need CF capability, look elsewhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought this as a Christas present for my nephew who didn't want it. I decided to keep it only to find it is completely unsuitable. It fell apart the minute I put an SD card into the SD slot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from First one died- Replacemnt died too. TRASH These rubbish readers use an Alcor chip, the same company responsible for millions of fake USB drives that could be flashed to fake their capacity. If you insert 2 cards with the intention to copy from card to card they simply conk out. Cheap junk. My slots are fine but the device, kaput. Internal soldering is dreadful (its in bits now since its dead) and I am shocked at the end of line component used. Avoid at all costs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Became unreliable (would not be discovered when plugged in and/or would randomly disconnect while plugged in) after 9 months usage. After 10 months, became unusable as it simply would not be discovered 9/10 when plugging in to usb slot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Piece Of Rubbish I bought this at the Ealing branch and the assistant said I could return it at any branch, which is just as well because it doesn't read the CF card that card I bought it for. Maplins, how can you sell such rubbish?

Does anyone know where the micro SD slot is? The only position that looks like it should take the micro card just lets the card slid about without maling contact.
