The energyEGG is a smart energy saver that will automatically turn off unused appliances in an empty room. It's an innovative device, designed to help you save electricity without sacrificing the modern comforts of everyday life. Unique SitStill occupancy sensing technology enables the energyEGG to tell the difference between an empty room and one with a motionless occupant. This state-of-the-art capability ensures that the device will never switch the TV off while you're still using it.

To use your energyEGG, just connect anything you want to control to the control adapter, and synch it to the egg (instructions included). Then you can turn everything on and off at the touch of a button. Get home from work, press the button, and everything comes on - ideal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Energy Egg I bought this a few days ago, really pleased does what it says on the tin. I found this really easy to set up, I have it on electric fire plug (just for effect no heat) and floor lamp plug, set to turn off after 15 minutes of no activity in living room, but if I'm going out or bed just press the button on top and it switches off and when I come back in later on hey presto automatically switches back on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a whizzz Bought this egg this month and it does the job of switching on a lamp when somebody comes into the porch. Great. Cannot have the light on for less than 20 mins though as this is least setting for this function !

How can this device be used to switch on lights, automatically, please?

Asked by: Bevvie48
The device is a motion sensor which triggers a switch; if you plug your lamp into the socket provided, it will turn it on when motion is detect and turn it off when it thinks the room is empty.
